Holiday Concert Reminder
Thursday, December 6, 2018 the Tunstall Middle School Band along with the Tunstall Middle School Chorus and THS Concert Band will perform at their 2018 Holiday Show. This performance will be 2 test grades. Students are to wear black and white. Boys a white shirt (preferably button up), black tie and black slacks. Girls a white top and black skirt or pants. Girls may also wear solid black. The concert will begin at 6:30 pm at Tunstall Middle School. Parents will be allowed to enter at 6:10pm Students are to arrive to TMS no later than 5:30 pm . All County Audition Reminder Friday, December 14, 2018 ,following school’s dismissal, students will travel to Chatham Middle School to audition for a spot in the 2019 All County Band. Entrance into this band is a HIGH honor! Students will return from CMS approximately 7:30pm. Pick up will be at Tunstall High School. This audition is REQUIRED for 8th-12th grade students. 7th Grade students who wish to audition may do so. Itinerary October 20, 2018 PRELIMS AND FINALS (2 PERFORMANCE SHOW) Arrive to THS: 9:30 am Load the Bus:10:00 am Arrive to Bassett: 10:45 am Unpack: 10:45 am-11:30 am Move to Practice: 11:30 am-11:45 am LUNCH: Noon-12:45 Practice/Warm Up: 12:45 pm- 1:30 pm Head to Gate: 1:30 pm Staging at Gate: 1:50 pm 1st Performance: 2:00 pm Return to Stadium: 2:30-4:00 1st AWARDS/PLACEMENT 4:00 Directors Meeting (to determine second performance time 4:20 4:20 Students return to truck to move to practice site. The second performance run every 15 minutes starting at 6:30 pm. Tunstall’s second performance will run somewhere between 6:30 pm and 8:45 pm FINAL AWARDS: 9:00 pm Pack Truck: 9:30 pm Return to THS: 10:15pm Parent Pick Up 10:45pm Parents please send your student with money for one meal at concessions. We began our activities yesterday at the JV and Varsity Volleyball games! The community loved our presence and we had a ton of positive feed back! Great job guys!
We will be sporting beautiful blue ribbons on our uniforms for the month of October at all events we attend. The Trojan Vanguard will also be hosting a booth at the Varsity Football games where the community, student body, and staff can sing our pledge to stomp out bullying! Parents, please remember the parent meeting Thursday 6:15pm at THS. It is important that all parents make every attempt to be present for this meeting!
The time has arrived to show our TROJAN PRIDE!! Our first home game of the season is this Friday. Parents, please remember that students will need their shoes, gym shorts, calf length black socks, and BLACK t-shirts for the game. We will be in full uniform! Ladies please come prepared to put your hair in the Vanguard Bun! Students will stay after school. Dinner will be provided by the boosters. The kick off time is set for 7pm. You will notice there is a chance for rain. If for some reason the game in cancelled you will be informed as soon as Mrs. Knapp is made aware. Also, if it does begin to rain during the game, we will be forced to return our instruments to the band room. Rain can do a lot of damage in a short period of time!
